He wrote the poems of Peace in Darkness over several decades of extensive travel to more than 84 countries as he served in Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Special Operations Command. The poems are based on a lifetime of experiences with dozens of cultures, religions, and belief systems both in peace and war. Mr. Holston is the author of the personal security book Beware the Predator and lectures extensively on the application of personal tradecraft in a digital world.
Peace in Darkness is a collection of original poems and artwork combined to create unique and thoughtful artistic works across a range of mediums. The words and images can be haunting, but if you open your mind, you can see there is truth in the art regardless of your beliefs or perspective. The words and the artwork are based on a collective lifetime lived within dozens of cultures, religions, and belief systems. The art often addresses subjects we all think about but are afraid to admit we consider. The works are intended to define the Peace in Darkness.
